Hi everyone, I would like to share the successful publication of my debut literary work : Nigeria in Decay and The Path To Rebirth- a collection of essays and personal reflection.
For years, I have watched and lived through Nigeria’s socio-economic decline. I have seen the effects of Corruption, tribalism, insecurity, 419, Secret cultism and the commercialization and weaponization of religion firsthand. I have also watched family and friends flee Nigeria in search of safety, decency and greener pastures.
All of this motivated me to write this 261 page book which shares deep insights into our challenges as a nation, my personal experiences as well as potential solutions based on personal research.
In Nigeria in Decay, I explore themes such as:
The tragedy of tribalism and secessionist movements.
Insecurity and kidnapping ravaging our nation .
419 and Yahoo, it's causes, effects and solutions
Campus secret cultism and how it affects our youth.
The commercialization of religion and pulpit banditry.
The “Japa” brain drain and tightening global immigration.
Corruption, failed governance, and the silence of institutions.
Ritual killings and fetishism,causes, incidents and solutions
The possibility of national rebirth if we act with courage.
Weaving my personal experiences into the stories, I discuss how this ongoing national decay affects our collective destiny as Nigerians and my hope is that what I have put together inspires debate, reflection, and positive change.
