Everywhere I go in the world, I see leaders loved, hated, rising, failing, admired, ridiculed, celebrated or defeated. A leader in today's world can move from visible to invisible in a matter of days. Leadership is not just a gift, it's a privilege, leadership is for the benefits of others. Leadership is not about ownership but about stewardship, and the tricky part about leadership is the leader. Leadership is the ability to translate vision into reality. A good leader motivates, doesn't mislead, doesn't exploit. Good leaders are trustworthy. In other words the first person you lead is you. A good leader cultivate honest speech, they love advisors who tell them the truth. Good leaders listen to others even if it's not what they want to hear. The mark of a good leader is loyal followers, leadership is nothing without a following. If u get along with them, they will go along with you. You have got to love your people more than your position, that doesn't mean they get everything they want. It means the leader is motivated by love, not ego or position.
