π‘ Did you know that the Kariba Dam, built on the Zambezi river between Zambia πΏπ² and Zimbabwe πΏπΌ, is the largest man-made dam in the world?
This week, a joint stakeholder mission has set off to Siavonga to monitor and discuss the rehabilitation of the Kariba Dam and saw a 94% completion of the Plunge Pool works as part of the Kariba Dam Rehabilitation Project (KDRP).
It is expected that the pool will be refilled by the end of 2024: approximately 1 million cubic meters of water is required.
