• It’s the season - Time to be jolly and time for break! Who’s ready?

    I can tell I am.

    Here in dark North, in a country called Finland usually everyone is ready for a good break this time of the year.

    Overall, in many countries as well. It’s time to end the fiscal year and wrap up current year.

    It will be also time to start from fresh soon.

    But before that what is better than to celebrate Christmas and also have some very needed rest?

    Nothing much else.

    Of course good foods, traditions and time spent together with our loved ones mean a lot too. It’s a combo of many beautiful things.

    It’s also season where we put lot of efforts to the people in our lives.

    Not just family but friends, colleagues and ever customers and other stakeholders, too.

    It’s a moment when we can thank them and tell they mean a lot to us!

    I am not sure if I am privileged or overly blessed here but I get to work with amazing professionals.

    My colleagues are superb and so are the key people who I get to work with in customer companies! 🙏🏻

    That’s something I am truly grateful for!

  • Darkest season of our year has begun here in Finland leading us to Christmas and New Year 2026 at the same time

    Sunrise is after 9am and sunset around 3pm. Giving us about 6 hours of daylight, which does not include actually seeing the sun even.

    You see gray. Just as in my picture from today just around the sunset.

    It’s gray. It’s rainy. It’s dull.

    Even snow that was giving light to our environment - melted.

    But anyhow tomorrow is 1st Advent meaning that Christmas season begins.

    We will start to see more and more lights around, candles burning, decorations and scents of the season around us.

    That will take away some of that heaviness we may feel due to this period of darkness.

    Also, when the days are short without much sunshine our energies drop too. And often leading us to spend most of the time indoors.

    This time can be challenging for many.

    Anyhow, now I am asking from Finns or others of you with creative minds:

    What would you do in order to make this dark and dull season more bearable?

    And no, escape to Caribbean is not an option, even though it would solve this problem for some of us easily.

    We cannot ALL relocate.

  • So much to be thankful for - Each and every day. No matter the times!

    Easy times give us joy and light weight happiness - Which we can easily take for granted.

    But the lessons and growth that hard times teach us - Those truly are something else!

    Have you learned that some of our most painful experiences can become most meaningful ones.

    Kind of that bring along vast amount of blessings?

    Have you ever realized that some of the most difficult and challenging times in your life were to steer us to new levels, new you and they were truly gifts in disguise?

    The lessons though are so deep and personal that I will not open about them here!

    But just know when you next time stand IM the midsts of most trying storms that maybe after enduring them through - Something else beautiful will show up!
