Darkest season of our year has begun here in Finland leading us to Christmas and New Year 2026 at the same time
Sunrise is after 9am and sunset around 3pm. Giving us about 6 hours of daylight, which does not include actually seeing the sun even.
You see gray. Just as in my picture from today just around the sunset.
It’s gray. It’s rainy. It’s dull.
Even snow that was giving light to our environment - melted.
But anyhow tomorrow is 1st Advent meaning that Christmas season begins.
We will start to see more and more lights around, candles burning, decorations and scents of the season around us.
That will take away some of that heaviness we may feel due to this period of darkness.
Also, when the days are short without much sunshine our energies drop too. And often leading us to spend most of the time indoors.
This time can be challenging for many.
Anyhow, now I am asking from Finns or others of you with creative minds:
What would you do in order to make this dark and dull season more bearable?
And no, escape to Caribbean is not an option, even though it would solve this problem for some of us easily.
We cannot ALL relocate.

So much to be thankful for - Each and every day. No matter the times!
Easy times give us joy and light weight happiness - Which we can easily take for granted.
But the lessons and growth that hard times teach us - Those truly are something else!
Have you learned that some of our most painful experiences can become most meaningful ones.
Kind of that bring along vast amount of blessings?
Have you ever realized that some of the most difficult and challenging times in your life were to steer us to new levels, new you and they were truly gifts in disguise?
I can now!
The lessons though are so deep and personal that I will not open about them here!
But just know when you next time stand IM the midsts of most trying storms that maybe after enduring them through - Something else beautiful will show up!

In this troubled world we need to focus on the light. Not the darkness.
Darkness these days comes into our houses often via media and social media bringing in loads of all negative and fear increasing news.
If you start focusing on those things you will easily start feeling hopeless. It makes you feel like you have no control or cannot impact on anything.
It may look like it is the worst times of human history and as the end would be near.
However, if you understand not to focus on things you cannot control and to focus on the things in life and around you - You can impact, your life will look very different.
You can find the joy in little mundane things and impacting lives smaller ways.
You will realize that most of the negative things you hear about have not much impact on your daily life or your happiness.
You will understand that you have keys to your happiness and present - And even to your future.
As the saying states:
”As long as there is life - There is hope!”
So today, find your good and follow the light!

Let’s tackle one serious issue where we fail and fall with others - We believe them being as we are
One of the hard lessons is to learn to see others as they are - Not as reflection of us.
Often when we have a good kind heart and are not wanting to hurt others intentionally - We fail to miss the fact that there are many people who are willing to hurt us.
Not only is this a problem in our personal lives but this can be even problem in worklife.
You keep doing your best and more, giving your all, over performing - Thinking it would lead into rewards and recognition.
Now, in case your supervisor or the one who has power to reward you and is like you, this will happen - And it would happen in relatively short time. In healthy organizations where overall people are valued.
However, if you are led (or rather managed) by leader or even leaders who:
See you as competition
Who have no healthy selfesteem
Who do not love or care about others
Who are greedy
Who are willing to harm others
Just to mention few…
You will never rise in your position!
Since it will never be about you!
So as we are here to impact lives positively, to lead through love (no matter your position) and influence people by the reflection from the light we are to the World
Understand, that if your counterpart is as mentioned in the list above, your chances to see any positive turns in your situation can be next to impossible.
For the ones of you hearing this first time ever it sounds brutal and unreal. But believe me, learn to differentiate the truth in situations from the vision you would like yourself being in.
That’s something that can even save you from worst!
