LOOTOLOGY: LOOT AND BURN.

Looting is not new in the Nigerian system of governance. The word lootology was first used by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He used it to describe the Nigerian system which has been engrossed with the method of looting and burning down government institutions to clear their mess.

The current events in Nigeria have shown that the government is of no use to the Nigerian masses because they have been unable to give an account of the events of their administrations. The current drama in the Senate House when the Senate president called Senator Ndume to bear witness to CBN's disbursement of money to the state governments and Ministries is a typical example. The drama heated up when the senator denied that he was not there.

The system is deeply and chronically corrupt and nothing could be accounted for. We are waiting for the end of all these events. Nigeria is like a car without tyres and an engine. But it is still called a car. It is very clear that it is no longer a car without these important car parts but the managers insist that it should remain a car.
