Today I walked to the harbour ⚓️ to see if the ice has left the lake The lake itself was clear but there were some sheets of ice on the surface still close the shore. Therefore winter is almost behind, just some few sunny and warm day and I believe that’s it! The benches were also not yet spread out therefore I decided to have my visit short. It was also quite windy making the weather raw and chilly. Anyhow, it is always pleasant to spend moment by the water. No matter if it is lake, river, sea or even the ocean. It always somehow gives the feeling of peace and recharges. I did sip my coffee ☕️ by the lake but it will for sure feel much more enjoyable soon with warmer weather and some sunshine. I wonder does other people feel the same too by the waters or do you rather go to a forest or mountain? How do you recharge? As I am enjoying this Friday night I am thinking about the comment from Bill Gates how AI will impact our workweek According to some post I saw, he says it will lead into 2 to 3 day workweek! Instead of machines ”stealing our jobs”. Anyhow, here in Finland, for example our former Prime Minister Sanna Marin has been proposing us 4 day workweeks. I am all for that, too! Some of my reasons are: 1) Having one office day available to take care of things, go to offices (bank, doctor etc) run errands… To name few. 2) One day would be for rest and rejuvenation 3) A day to meet people as we have distanced from one another - Especially after the covid crisis There is so much loneliness. And also, the day to gather could include outdoor or other activity for body as well. As our health overall seems to be declined. As much as I am totally pro work woman having my career and enjoying what I do with and for people and businesses - I feel that we should not live for working but work for living. My long ago passed Grandma Selma used to say when electric appliences showed up that ”That is the time we should rest”. Now instead of all the electronics benefitting us our days run out with them. Not good! So let us keep working towards more pleasant life worth of living for all - And let us never let our work define our worth or happiness in life! I want to write the topic of envy and give you some tools how you can handle it Envy can be one the most harmful trait people have. Envy towards someone can make the person cause so much damage for the one jealous of. I have experienced this in my own life and witnessed and witness how it impacts lives to this very day. For some reason there are insecurities within the person, or any of us in some stages of our life. We don’t really see our own value, skills and competences making us to compete towards one another. We are not created to be equally talented but rather have skills that complement of one another - Creating this beautiful puzzle out of very different shape of pieces. The envy often come in form of belittling the target and trying to make them feel less than they are. At times the jealous person in leading position abuse their authority and place of power too - Causing to block opportunities for advancement in your career and hold back on every reward possible you would be entitled with. Because their biggest fear is to see you advance. So for the ones in this situation what is crucial is to understand that it is not about you! It is about them and their brokenness. Their flaws in their character. What you can do is to not accept the lies that these actions and hatred try to cause you. Always remember your value and never turn yourself into one alike because then you will truly loose. Love yourself and try to love those ones harming you - Because they are the ones suffering and feeling small. Not you! So cheer up and keep going solid and strong! Saturday is definitely the best day of the week for me 🤍 Reward and rest after often hectic and demanding workweek The moment when I can enjoy my morning coffee ☕️ peacefully and just take things slow and easy. I also often enjoy nicer breakfast then or even prepare a small brunch. Today I dug out one of my very favorite Moomin mug out of the cupboard. It’s bake in Finnish is ”Rantaelämää” Beach life in English - But I have always called the mug ”Bikini Moomin mug”. Now when it is spring here in Finland and the sun is back also the nice sunny bright summery colors and thinks come back to life. I also want to share something interesting about this Moomin mug. It was manufactured in 2008. Price then was probably 10€ ($10). Now if you search for it online people have to pay even 100€ ($100) for it! Finnish people not only love those Moomin stories by Tove Jansson but collect these Moomin mugs as well. I have even sent some out to the States after the live I had with Michele Gunn couple years ago. Not only are they nice but they grow in value too. Though, no matter the price, some things are never sold in life if you truly love them. So this specific Moomin mug of mine would not be sold even with 100€/$100. 😁 Anyhow, how do you grow in value as a person and professional? Do you see your value and all that bring on the table? Digital Twins for the Aviation industry What would we like and need to know more? What kind of information collected would turn into useful data? On my opinion, every airplane should have their own digital twin. I would like to know that everything in the plane is functioning properly as I set my foot in it. Now as it is possibly to do so - Why are we not doing it already? I feel there is so much untapped potential in this area - Not only for the safety but also for the product development leading to more accurate information about the current condition of the planes, better product development guided by real time data and ability to utilize the collected, processed and analyzed information from the whole fleet. These are just few thoughts. This does not even include yet data combined with different weather conditions, circumstances, usage knowledge that can rank the pilot and service made so - That we could see who are the ones being able to take best care of the products, assets and people when looking at the big picture. I totally cracked the past weekend when I got the thought what truly makes Finnish people Happiest in the World is obviously Hesburger 😍🤩😎 Finnish fast food chain with delicious burgers, tortillas and especially their mayonnaises. This is totally partly humor but it is also one of the most delicious things all over the country.
