Do you recognize the City and the Country where this Church (which looks like made from snow ⛄️ during this time of year) is located? It’s in a beautiful City of Helsinki, the capital of Finland 🇫🇮 Located by the Baltic Sea. The picture was taken yesterday when I got to take little bit time off for a mini city vacay 🏝️ and to a very meaningful gathering. Life has been so hectic that I rarely have such time off where you really get to reset your mind. And even body. In this short about a day trip with special people this was accomplished! Talking about very needed oasis 🏝️ moment in life! Though bit cold and snow covered. 😅 I realized that it does not require weeks off work to get positively impacted and to switch into relaxed mode. It just requires cool, fun and lovely people around you - And an active mindset. The reason this matters is because: Even though we would ”Do What We Love and Love What We Do” - We need time off of it all. We need our minds focusing on totally different things and time with other important life matters. That’s what is a source in order to keep going positive. You do not only need successes and rewards - But you truly need occassions where joy bursts free. Not to mention food for the soul through eyes through such beautiful place like this. #TGIF anyone? ✌🏻✨ I feel after the holidays - Many of us are still quite ready for some extra chill! Me? No, I’m definitely not an exeption! Growing older I understand why bears want to sleep (hybernate) the whole (freaking cold and dark) winter. 😅 Today it’s been -20C/-4F here in Finland 🇫🇮 where I live! 🥶 It’s brutal - Unless you know how to dress❣️ If not, you will freeze yourself fast! And all the struggles we have feel harder during this time than during winter time - As our circumstances makes it more difficult. But it also makes you appreciate more the sunnier and warmer times - Perhaps the easier times too. However, as we live in the present we always need to focus on the best of each moment! Let’s end this year 2025 on the top ✨ And with couple traditions: ⭐️ On top of Observation Tower in Pyynikki, Tampere Finland 🇫🇮 ⭐️ With my adidas tracksuit - Showing things that remain, despite the years change ⭐️ With same outfit and place - In order to make it easier to compare the version of me between the years ⭐️ Last year (2024) and this year pics taken on New Year’s Eve 🎇 - Having sunshine on the day which is extremely rare! These pics show quite clearly how years do change us. And in year like this one - 2025 - The change has been mostly positive. It was very demanding year but it also pushed to change even more. Whereas 2024 was extremely tough year. Year where I do not have much memories from. The pressures set by that year were so visible even on my face. And now looking back my version of 2023 was still a rookie. 😅 Why I share about this is that when others look at our lives they cannot see what is under the surface. They often see the smiley version of you. The version who gives his or hers best to the world. But they cannot see what kind of demands and burdens we carry underneath. What are the things we struggle with. Our years and our seasons differ. But what I can share from my experience especially from this year is to keep moving in faith! More something scares you - More needed action it often is. If you do not move - You shrink. And you cannot reach anything significant from place of fear! You can only reach greatness through giving your best, consistantly. And this, does not make sense to you until it becomes your reality. Only after you learn to move in boldness, through your fears, only then will you reach your potential and purpose! It’s the season - Time to be jolly and time for break! ♥️ Who’s ready? I can tell I am. Here in dark North, in a country called Finland 🇫🇮 usually everyone is ready for a good break this time of the year. Overall, in many countries as well. It’s time to end the fiscal year and wrap up current year. It will be also time to start from fresh soon. But before that what is better than to celebrate Christmas 🌟🎄🌟 and also have some very needed rest? Nothing much else. Of course good foods, traditions and time spent together with our loved ones mean a lot too. It’s a combo of many beautiful things. It’s also season where we put lot of efforts to the people in our lives. Not just family but friends, colleagues and ever customers and other stakeholders, too. Darkest season of our year has begun here in Finland 🇫🇮 leading us to Christmas and New Year 2026 at the same time Sunrise is after 9am and sunset around 3pm. Giving us about 6 hours of daylight, which does not include actually seeing the sun even. You see gray. Just as in my picture from today just around the sunset. It’s gray. It’s rainy. It’s dull. Even snow that was giving light to our environment - melted. But anyhow tomorrow is 1st Advent 🕯️ meaning that Christmas season begins. We will start to see more and more lights around, candles burning, decorations and scents of the season around us. That will take away some of that heaviness we may feel due to this period of darkness. Also, when the days are short without much sunshine our energies drop too. And often leading us to spend most of the time indoors. This time can be challenging for many. Anyhow, now I am asking from Finns or others of you with creative minds: What would you do in order to make this dark and dull season more bearable? And no, escape to Caribbean is not an option, even though it would solve this problem for some of us easily. 😂 We cannot ALL relocate. So now, what would you do to make it more bearable and fun?
