Again, The cements in the market are no longer made of Calcium oxide. 0ver 60% of the content of Cements in Nigeria are crushed clay sands. This is the reason why bonding becomes difficult after concrete mixes. A ration of concrete that usually suppose to take 1:2:4 is now Approximately 2:3:4 making the quantity of Cament to be extravagant. Who do you blame ? The Building contractor ?
